Carl's Jr is coming down under!
I have no basis but from my own knowledge about obesity in Australia, I only know that I've never seen an over-sized bulging belly in an Australian beach, ever. (Or is it because there's a beach solely intended for them?)
I work at a popular fastfood chain, and I only rarely encounter a whale buying our food. So is it safe to assume that Australians are generally fit? I've seen campaigns on TV about trying to lose weight for Australia and all that, but I don't see the need, really. Yes, Australians are huge meat-lovers (no pun intended), but as far as I know, they always try to keep and look after themselves. Don't get started with those other Aussies that keeps on asking you to "put another shrimp in the barbie", well, Woolies never have shrimps, it's all prawns.
So this Carl's Jr coming to Australia would probably be a big hit. Apart from we never had them and that our portion of large is nothing compared to America, this is going to be really interesting. I've always wanted to be a nutritionist/dietician but at the same I don't want to be the smarty pants to tell people what to eat and not what to. I'll piss plenty of wogs, for sure.
Will the prices be much higher than its competitors? Well, McDonald's has been 'trying' to push a campaign for healthier alternatives, and then here big Carl Junior comes, it's going to be an interesting show on what fate this infamous brand would have in Australia.
Please let Paris Hilton wash my car and smother it your chunky burgers.
