Push Pin Boutique

I am not the best person to talk about vintage fashion, but I do know something. I have a sense of style, too! While I was living in the south-western district of Adelaide and walking up to the city, I'd normally pass through the Central Markets, and this is where I set my eyes to this little rustic beauty.

Matching it's classic façade that served the same function when it was a bakery then a tearoom, your first sight as you walk in are the charming collections of 50's and 60's dresses.

I have a secret fascination about the social cultures of the mid-20th Century, how the women (housewives), who used to wear the clothes that are presented here, managed to take care of themselves as they would effortlessly tide up their posh looking homes. I feel the connection to that part of history, looking at the well-kept clothes, indeed it's still divine.

I like how the owner, Clare Matthews puts the effort in designing these classical coutures at the same time, savaging them from the delightful tests of time. Four years and counting, providing beautiful clothes for beautiful women of Adelaide.

If you also want to feel the same feeling I felt (especially for fashionable ladies), drop by and fancy their array at 8 Compton St, Adelaide.
