Here's Robby, you will see him when you go to the State Library to loan DVDs, and yeah, thanks to the Library, I can watch movies for free! In September, these were the movies I've watched, and with my golden pharoahs, you'll know how I liked them.
Saw this film after a month it was released in the Philippines, I never thought I was still going to see this movie. It was over-rated in the Philippines, because the country was featured in it. The true beauty of its society was depicted very well. I sort'a get the plot and all, but what made me like this movie was how they were able to film it in the most populated city of a highly populous country. Hollywood magic!
It's gory and I liked it. It was the first Saw movie I've ever seen, and coincidentally this was the part where they did some revelations and explanations about jigsaw. I just like how gory it was, that's all.
I heard this was a good movie, but I wasn't really impressed. I thought it was kinda draggy. I don't like how their romance started out, it was like abrupt and forced. I don't know, the plot could've been better.
The cover appeared similar to Juno, and it did kind of have a plot with the same. Except it's French, I love French films! It's about a guy just in school, and wanting to get laid— typical teen tragic tale. One thing will annoy you in this movie: they wear the same set of clothes althroughout the movie. They were like characters from a comicbook.
Title is self-explanatory. It's about a man reminiscing his memoirs of his father — in all emotions he had while he was growing up. This film is very moving and makes you truly value the presence of people in your life, especially your father.
Dope plot! I know it's wrong how the Indians are always making fun of their little brother, Pakistan, but this movie turns out really brilliant. It makes sense how desperation of some people from third world countries to go overseas for a better life is a story that happens everyday. They also never run out of good chicaneries to make it happen.
It's a documentary about Jesus Culture in America. No further comment.
Gay, hurrah! Depicting awesome fashion and gay culture of retrospective San Francisco. Based from a true story, you will be moved with what gay people had to go through during the time when most of the people were dumb*sses.
I know this was popular, and is one of the best horror movies of all-time (REALLY?); but I wasn't impressed. I watched it with my flatmate, he was able to finish it off, but I fell asleep. Wow, it was that scary. I felt cheated.
A French film about girls. How they lived their lives and things like that. Oh well, it was just interesting. It was like Sex and the City, but in French(?)
I like stories like these. How everyone's connected, and how everyone has their stories. In just one day, this highly-commercial day, called 'Valentine's Day' all these people have their story, and it all ends well and romantic for everyone (almost)!
It's unrealistic, but hey, it could be real! Modern-day grim reapers, featuring a story of a chick who had an untimely death. She coincidentally contacts again with her family and she was unfortunately the one who had to take away the life of her sister's true love. But it was still ridiculous!
