There shouldn't be such thing as “gay rights” but merely rights because they are still people and by labelling their rights separately from the rights of straight people; we are treating them as if they are less than us.
By making a big deal about if gay people
can get married is like saying if Muslims can get married, or if Asians can get married. Marriage is way to unite your love with
someone else and if that is taken away, it’s kind of like saying you
can’t love someone because you’re gay.
I don’t want any arguments, hate comments, or anything. This is
merely my opinion. I understand that not everyone is as open or
accepting, but if you’re straight, you don’t really know what it’s like
to be gay, lesbian, bi, et cetera. So, why should others, the straight people and
the government, decide what is right for them? If they’re happy with
being gay, why can’t we just let them live that way you know? I mean,
look at the people that were against coloured people back then, in 20
years, people protesting anti-gay are going to look pretty dumb... don’t
you think?
